Are you yearning to achieve more with less meeting time or wondering how to engage diverse actors meaningfully?

Neutral and expert facilitation enables you to achieve your desired results through stakeholder alignment and high-impact collaboration.

How we add value

The secret of successful facilitation lies in skilful process design. We understand how to achieve results and facilitate change in complex settings. Whether it’s a once-off in-person or virtual intervention or a year-long hybrid change process, we ensure that you reach your desired long-term impact.

We do this by:

1

Identifying the desired long-term impact

Effective process design requires careful examination and alignment of stakeholders around what is desirable.

2

Designing a customised process

Expert process design entails customising and even creating new solutions to fulfil required process functions.

3

Applying the right tools and methods

Experienced process designers know how to select the right tools and methods for the right purpose.

“Once it is all over, what do you want to have achieved?

Let’s get clear on that first and then work backwards from there.

Aligning stakeholders and defining what truly adds value and represents a desirable goal is crucial for successful collaboration. Once everyone agrees on the ultimate impact, we can start breaking it down into process goals and deliverables and tailoring a process that fits the purpose.

Our track record

Standard Revision Process

Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil

The goal: a participatory review of RSPO's production standard principles and criteria.
In this hybrid year-long process IPK designed and facilitated several in-person task force meetings, dozens of online technical committee meetings, various regional public consultation workshops and a large-scale public consultation platform across Latin America, Africa and Asia. We built an entire online platform for hundreds of participants to engage with resources, review latest standard versions, and document decisions. The design allowed for all different stakeholder groups to participate meaningfully and equally in an integrated way.

Nexus Technical Cordination

ILO Jerusalem Office

The goal: improve coordination amongst humanitarian and development actors.
A hybrid process to support technical coordination in a working group consisting of actors providing short-term assistance and long-term social protection system strengthening in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. IPK created the necessary safety for actors to remain engaged and align their efforts around competing agendas in a highly fragile context. The use of participatory facilitation methodologies including a tailored adaption of Scrum, an agile team collaboration framework, helped with tracking and making progress on urgent matters.

Global Forum

DAI

The goal: gather 150 global experts to co-create recommendations.
IPK designed a highly participatory 3-day conference that enabled participants to learn, connect, and draft an action charter aimed at strengthening social protection in conflict settings. We used ‘Open Space’ format that afforded participants the autonomy to suggest and lead the conference agenda, generating high energy in the room and genuinely co-created outcomes. Technology was leveraged for a seamless conferencing experience and to speed up synthesis. The event received high praise from organisers and participants alike.

"IPK's process design approach and facilitation expertise enabled us to create dynamic and productive environments in which participant engagement surpassed our expectations - despite the virtual constraints."

Marielle Phe Goursat,

Social Health Protection Program Manager, ILO Hanoi

"IPK's in-depth knowledge of facilitation sets them apart from other companies. The facilitators' interpersonal and creative skills as well as their clear passion for their profession have led us to return to them time after time."

Rebekah Thomas Bosco,

World Health Organization, Geneva

"IPK's meticulous attention to detail and their experience in working in complex environments using systemic approaches were highly valued."

Director Corporate Affairs and Head of Communication, SwissContact Zurich
