Caroline believes in the collective intelligence of groups and in the power of constructive collaboration for breakthrough ideas to emerge. But it is by setting meaningful intention, carefully designing processes and holding space for dialogue that the magic can happen.
Qualifications and language skills
- Holds a Master in Non-Profit Organization Management (Lyon II University, Lyon, France, 2000) and Diploma of Integral Coaching (Centre for coaching, Johannesburg, 2020)
- Language skills: French (Fluent), English (Fluent), Spanish (Fluent), Portuguese (Good)
- Membership: International Coach Federation (ICF)
Background and experience
- Facilitation & training consultancy: Design and facilitate strategy workshops, retreats and training for international development organisations, for profit companies or NGOs.
- Director of Learning and Development Department of a fast-growing consulting firm, ThinkWell (2018-2020): Built company competency framework, professional development policy and supports Implementation and monitoring of all professional development activities. Developed company onboarding process, and processes to ensure learning and cross-fertilization across projects.
- Program Lead of several global health system strengthening projects (both short term and long term), funded by various donors (Bill & Melinda Gates foundation, USAID, CDC, DFID) - (ThinkWell 2017-2018).
- Program Officer at the ILO, Social Finance Program (2008-2014). Working with the Impact Insurance Facility, program manager for the African portfolio.
- International working experience: Mozambique (from 2014 to 2019), Cambodia (from 2006 to 2008), Mali (2005). Short term consultancies in countries such as Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Mexico, Columbia, Kenya, Burkina Faso, DRC.
- Other employment positions previously held: Country Director, Mozambique (ThinkWell 2014-2017), Technical Assistant Officer (GRET, 2006-2008).
Skills and expertise
- Workshop design and Facilitation: Strong expertise in designing and facilitating participatory workshops, within a vast range of contexts. Experience includes design & facilitation of strategy development events, team retreats, human center design & prototyping workshops and knowledge sharing events. At ease with facilitation for both small and large groups; Facilitation methodologies include cross-fertilization tools (World Café, 1-2-4-all), knowledge sharing technics (Interviews, Fishbowl, Round Robins), Ideation & Innovations tools (Human Centered Design toolkit) and foresight (Three horizons).
- Design and delivery of training: Experience both with on-line and live training and webinar. Online experience using a vast suite of online platforms (Zoom, Teams, Mentimeter, Mural). Methodology based on sound knowledge of adult learning technics.
- Learning strategies: experience across the whole strategy development cycle, from developing competency framework anchored in companies’ values, to assessing team needs and developing a learning plan.
- Coaching: Experience in coaching individuals to find and align with their purpose, using an Integral methodology.
- Mentoring: Mentor executives and programme manager, with a special focus on framing and structuring using the Minto Pyramid approach.
